Why I'm Excited My Wife Is Eating Her Placenta
Hi Everyone,
I wrote a blog post for Whattoexpect.com, titled "Why I'm Excited My Wife Is Eating Her Placenta." I hope you take a moment to give it a read!
While you are eating the placenta, please call a psychiatrist. Speaking as an OB nurse, placentas are not meant to feed the parents, but ONLY to nourish the fetus. Grow up people and go to the store! You are ridiculous.
I know that I will be added to the list of nuts that post on behalf of placenta ingestment but I want to support you for whatever your reasons may be. For your information, since you will not be eating it directly, I thought that you might want to know that it does not taste at all like organ meat. I am not a fan of organ meats. It tastes like the most tender beef that you will ever have. I am not sure why people (other than vegetarians) view this meat as gross. It represents so much more than a slab of cow, which has become socially acceptable for some reason that we are all able to justify without reason..placenta is no different..except that it is, in so many ways, more meaningful and bonding of a meal..
